The Daily Show gets it
Sunday, October 18, 2009 at 10:29PM As a Republican, I don't pay much attention to Jon Stewart, but readers have been pointing out to me that he's been giving this issue the fair and balanced coverage it deserves. Here's the clip most have sent:

I'm pretty surprised at myself! I just criticized The Heritage Foundation, one of my favorite think-tanks, and now I feel obligated to laud The Daily Show for accurate reporting! Jon Stewart nails this one. This amendment was anti-rape and most of the Republicans in Congress voted against it, validating the viewpoints espoused on this website.

It was hard to laugh at something like that. Great post though
Hey, why can't Republicans watch Jon Stewart? You're just missing out if you don't.
And not just ANY kind of rape, but corporate arbitrated rape.
As we've already been informed, the business of America after all, IS business.
And now it's RAPE TOO!!!!!
If you can't be raped at work, where *can* you be raped? It just seems the most logical place.
How lucky you guys are to live in a country where private contracts supersede criminal law. If rape at work can be arbitraged away from court, do you think we could get away with murder too ? Calling my attorney right now to transfer my corporation to the USA in some rape-friendly state.
Thank God for Jon Stewart,
I have yet to see this issue raised on any main stream media new channel. This is absolutely ridiculous... I can't even believe this is a discussion. As Jon, said... kinda a slam dunk.
Government hires private contractor... employee of said company gang rapes co-worker... Government says "hey, go fuck yourself."
Did you know Thom Hartmann, champion of the left is giving this site a lot of promo. Try hearing us out a little more on the other side of the aisle. My father was a sergeant in the Korean War and a Republican most of his life but he was awfully grateful for the GI Bill as without it he could not have gone to college and become a bank examiner and raised 5 kids. After having watched Reagen put the nation on a credit card and George Bush Sr not doing too much to fix it, finally my father replied to my question of who should i vote for by saying Clinton will balance the budget. But wait I thought- Democrats just spend money. My father said, the platforms change between the parties- vote your party last. Vote in terms of your own issues and that person who will best represent your issues and self interest first, then if no one does, vote for the best person, and if that fails, vote party last. Our reps watch which way a locality is voting and then run on that platform whether they are or are not that platform. They only put the label on their campaign that they think will win and willingly misrepresent themselves as the other party if need be. I also protested Clinton because of the Jennifer Flowers stuff to which my father growled - They all fool around- this isn't about morality, if it were half of them would be gone from office period. I just caught on to this and I'm wondering what the problem is. Democrats try to pull the same "the company isn't responsible for the actions of individuals" lecture when ACORN was busted instructing people on how to avoid reporting income for prostitution on their taxes and how to commit sex-trafficking under the radar. Now you wanna throw the shoe on the other foot and hold Hallucination responsible for the actions of their employees?
You people in your glass houses really need to quit throwing rocks. And you might wanna get some Windex, cause I think that glass is starting to cloud...
Sorry, there was a typo in my last post. It's supposed to be "Halliburton", not "Hallucination". Should have previewed before posting...
I noticed that republicansforrape.org only had KBR and Haliburton. They need to add Dyncorp-can't remember the country but google it and you'll find where DynCorp felt it was more than OK to let their employees keep underage sex slaves. Might as well add the US Army and probably the other military branches. The Army likes to lie and cover up for the guys when this happens. It's happening a lot in Iraq/middle east, and the males are sometimes killing who they rape and getting away with that too, but it happens in US too. Do some research I'm sure you'll find more to add to your page.
