The REAL America

Did you know that of the thirty senators that voted against Franken's Amendment, only eight were going it alone in their state delegation?  That's right – twenty two senators from eleven states voted nay!  That's what I'm talking about, fuck yeah!  This is the real America that we were all talking about in 2008.

In honor of this fact, I've modified the Our Legislators page to highlight the Senators from these great American states.

Also, check out this badass infographic.  Click it to go big!

I wish I lived in one of those states!

This makes me so proud to be from the great state of Idaho. Are there any other RfR's out there up for a Rape Across America road trip? PM me.

Alas I live in Wisconsin, so there is no one defending my rights to cover up gang rape in the workplace.

Can we please vote some of those states out of the Union for sending those hill billy senators to Washington.

i'm 12 and wtf does the term "compassionate republican" even mean?!

October 18, 2009 | Unregistered Commenterlividd

this makes me RAGE. how DARE my home state of fla not support rape? i have always been proud of the freakshow state, but for them to NOT support rape makes me consider a move to a different state that is more of a rapetacular place, where i feel my needs and welfare are being considered

I live close enough to NH to move there straightaway and vote to make it ALL RAPE ALL THE TIME!

Quick! Call the realtor! Time to head up north and overthrow the LIVE FREE OR DIE RAPE HATERS once-and-for all!

As a Canadian I can only say how much it sickens me that we don't have senators with a rape-friendly stance up here. Is this something that only Americans can participate in, and if not, how do I encourage my government to get involved?

Please respond promptly, I need to have my voice heard before the conservatives gain a majority government and beat me to it.

October 18, 2009 | Unregistered Commenterjealous

Jealous, this is just another example of Canadians' well-earned inferiority complex as they gaze admiringly at what is without question THE GREATEST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD! And of course, our rape prowess is a big part of that achievement, although it is perhaps tied with our enviable-the-world-over-first-class-healthcare!

You need to spread the word to all your rape-friendly pals to stand on soapboxes from Baffen Island to Vancouver Island to thump your chests about the quest for more rape for Canadians! Donate to the campaigns of rape-thirsty legislators at the national, provincial, and even the school board level! And never let your daughters think that your responsibility to protect them equates to fighting the natural, basic human right for men -- Canadian or not -- to rape them in the workplace, at worship, in school (and, mightily, in the athletic arena)!

Don't let this fabulous opportunity slip away, or the socialists who hate America's freedoms and stand with the terrorists will have had their way, and you'll have no one but yourselves to blame. NOW GO GET STARTED!

You use profanities like "fuck" freely yet are concerned about rape?

October 18, 2009 | Unregistered Commentermultiversal

This is heartening news, that 13 year-old was over at my house for a photo-shoot. That means it was a business transaction!

My defense team has already received letters from all 30 Senators assuring me they will get my case thrown out of court.

This is the second happiest day of my life (the first being the joyous day of losing my rape cherry), just rape-tastic!

October 18, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterRoman Polanski

ABSOLUTELY! Yes, because using the "f" word and committing rape ARE EQUALLY TERRIBLE! Great point, multiversal, EXCELLENT! THANK YOU!

October 18, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterApphouse50

I would say that using the word "fuck" is worse than rape, because you can only rape one person at a time, but if you say the word "fuck" in a crowd of people, all those lives are ruined FOREVER.

October 18, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterKimpira

For those of us who have been elsewhere....what is the Franken amendment? Always explain what you are referring to before going on to the next step...lesson learned the hard way.

October 18, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterMaryinVT

Actually, I want to move past this "fuck" versus "rape" issue because "rape" is wicked awesome and "fuck" is just a word NEVER to be shouted in, say, a crowded theater! In fact, I'm pretty sure it's unconstitutional. That would be the 69th amendment, right?

And the Franken amendment -- well that is DESERVEDLY hard to find out in The Google! Just check and you'll see!

Wow! I'm just learning that RAPE IS FUN!

I wish my country were as enlightened as the US. The problem in Ireland is that rape will get you arrested, even when she was wearing a short skirt (how backward is that?). But we look to the great country of America to lead the way on issues of freedom like this, so no doubt we'll be able to rape without fear of unjust persecution quite soon.

October 18, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterBill

Well, Bill, if I were you I'd join the clergy! And if anybody grouses, just remind them that the Irish gov't gave more than generous reparations to any victim who was brazen and wimpy enough to come forward -- isn't that just disgraceful?

Fight the good fight, Bill. If you link up with the Xtian Brothers, you don't even have to sign your life away for eternity, and meantime the fun never stops!

October 18, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterApphouse50

Are these Republicans really pro-Rape, or are they just for the rape of women? I'm sick of going to the voting booth to pull the level for my pro-Rape Republican only to find them not supporting measures that might put their own, man-butts in jeopardy.

Is it fair? I don't think so! Their butts are going to be in trouble next election day if they aren't on top of this issue.

It's high time that the repubs got in touch with all the true American Pro Rape patriots out there. America is a country with a long, proud history of rape and we should honor that history! Just ask the Native Americans!

Keep the queers marginalized, make rape sacred!
